Tickets Now Available for Spectrum of Democracy Awards
RALEIGH - Tickets are now on sale for the Spectrum of Democracy Awards, presented by the N.C. Center for Voter Education.
The dinner event will celebrate the vital contributions made to the state’s democratic system by North Carolinians from various walks of life. Categories in this year’s ceremony include traditional media, emerging media, public servant and citizen. Award winners will be selected by a committee of individuals involved in various facets of North Carolina’s democracy, including academia, public policy and media.
“In order for our democracy to thrive, it takes the commitment of North Carolinians across the state, including elected officials, teachers, poll workers and journalists,” said Damon Circosta, executive director of the N.C. Center for Voter Education. “We are pleased to honor several of the North Carolinians who have done much to make our democracy better.”
The Spectrum of Democracy Awards dinner will be held Thursday, Feb. 25 at 6:30 p.m. at the Cardinal Club in downtown Raleigh. Tickets cost $50, with special discount tickets available at $35 for students and veterans.
